Peyton actually asked me to take her picture tonight.

I have been wanting to take pictures of her in her bed.

I really want pictures of her sleeping all snuggled up with all her baby dolls.

Today was not the day for that.  Today was the day to show off her mad jumping skills!

Her and her daddy have this little game they play when he gets her out of bed.  She jumps up and down like a wild child and then he grabs her and swings her out of the bed!  She laughs and giggles like crazy!

When she asked me to take her picture and I suggested pictures in her bed, she immediately said "JUMP Mommy!"

So JUMP is what we took pictures of.

Yet another little thing that I want to remember.

And pictures are the perfect way to save those memories!

Last weekend when we were out of town we had a rare moment of only having Drew and Cooper with us.  That rarely happens.  Brodey had stayed in Sunbury with a friend and Peyton was having a sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa.

It was fun to watch them interact with each other.

Just the two of them.

And as it always does with boys, interaction almost always leads to a good wrestling match!

Of course Drew even notices the camera while wrestling and tells me to STOP!

This is a silly picture.  And blurry too.  But for some reason I like it.  Probably because I rarely ever get a picture with all four of them in it.  I'm not sure why they like to act like they are asleep when I take pictures.  As you can see, Peyton isn't very good at that game.

I didn't realize how many bath tub pictures I take until I started this blog.  Apparently I like pictures in the bath tub.  But how can you resist a cute little girl in a pink bath tub full of bubbles?

He had just woken up on Saturday morning and was sitting waiting patiently for his waffles.  He looked so sweet that I had to grab a picture.

Happy Valentine's Day

This year we only got to do one set of Valentine's.  Cooper's Valentine's for preschool.

I asked Drew, who is in the 7th grade, if he wanted to pass out Valentine's to his friends.  He declined.  :o)  And Brodey didn't care to pass out Valentine's either.  That left only Cooper's class to make cards for.

I decided to do something a little different than the little character cards this year.  I had this adorable picture of him and decided to make cards instead.  He wrote his name on the back of each one and then asked me to draw a heart on each one for him.

I wonder how many years he will be cool with these kind of cards?

I'm already dreaming of the kinds of cards Peyton and I can make when she gets a little older.  What fun it will be!

Peyton getting ready to head out to Grandma Cindy's birthday party last weekend.
She picked out everything she has on.
I think she did a pretty good job.
Lookin kind of cute lil' girlie!

I don't know why I like this picture so much.

There is just something sweet about it.

Just my Coopie-Doo being cute!
He is wearing one of Brodey's old sweatshirts.
It's hard to believe that sweatshirt fit Brodey just a few years ago.

Do you have any idea what my poor children were forced to do last week when we had no electricity?

GASP...

read a BOOK!

That's right.  Drew actually broke down and broke open a book.

He read it from cover to cover in one day.

I guess that was one perk of the power being out for two days.

Then he started acting goofy!

Here are the pictures of Baby Slash that I was telling you about the other day.

She was cracking us up running around in this thing.

Baby Slash is leaving the building.

Happy Birthday!

Today is my mom's birthday!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My sister and her family, along with my family all piled into mom's house yesterday to celebrate.  Of course mom cooked her own birthday dinner.  She made lasagna, which was delicious by the way, and also made all the kids Valentine's treats!

I need to do a better job of getting at least one picture of every one at a party.  I managed to capture the majority of the party guests this time.  Missing are my sister, brother-in-law, step dad and myself of course!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Thanks for all that you do.

We love you whole bunches!

Pey-Pey playing in her bath water.
I'm not really sure what this face was about.

I like this one a little better!

And if this doesn't make you smile, you might want to see a doc.  There could be something wrong!
Just teasing.  ; )  I'm sure you are perfect.
But smile anyway.  Studies show that it's good for your health.  : )

Hey Drew!

This is the normal sequence of events when I have a camera to my face and I say "Hey Drew!"

Step 1.  "Huh" as he looks at me.

Step 2.  Dodge and yell "Stop it Mom!"

Step 3.  Hide from the camera and saying "Go away Mom."

PS  I'm not quite sure why he is reading the sports page on his hands and knees.
He's weird!  : )
But I love him anyway.

Drew & Brodey playing Battleship while we watched Toy Story 3.  I was thinking I was being very nonchalant about taking this picture.  But obviously Brodey caught me.  In case you didn't know, that look means "Really Mom.  You're taking a picture of this too."

PS  Yes Brodey's wardrobe is a little conflict of interest.  He has a Bengals shirt on and a Colts sleeping cap.  Bengals are his first love.  But he also loves Peyton and the Colts!  Peyton Manning that is.  Although, I think he is pretty fond of Peyton Mitchell too.

I don't know what it is about this hat.  But someone always has it on around here.  I have pictures of Brodey, Cooper and Peyton in this hat.  It was originally part of Brodey's Halloween costume.  He dressed up as Slash!  I have pictures of Peyton that I will post in the Slash wig!

I was cleaning out some boxes the other day with some of Drew and Brodey's old clothes, that I had saved for Cooper, and came across these little old man pajamas.  They use to be Drew's when he was little.  Cooper is very picky about his clothes and will only wear a small assortment of things.  So I never dreamed he would wear these PJ's.  But he loved them and wore them all weekend.  He was such a good boy all weekend that I told him these jammies must have magical powers!  Then he put the Transformers jammies back on and all was back to normal.

She is my sunshine...

Peyton and Daddy's song is Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Peyton and Mommy's song is Your Are My Sunshine.

She crawls up in my lap and says "Sing Mommy!"

We sing Rock A Bye Baby,
You Are My Sunshine,
Jesus Loves Me, and
Jesus Loves the Little Children.

But her favorite is Sunshine (as she calls it).

She truly is my Sunshine.

I great big giant heart her!

PS  Just so you know, this picture was taken on Monday night.  The second day that she wore this outfit.  Not the third day!  :o)
